Now that spring is in the air (I can taste it!) and my cough has settled down to a rumble, I've started the slow road to fitness. How's it going so far? Well, I have successfully avoided the sinfully delicious Dunkin' Donuts coffee every day this week. I haven't run in a couple weeks, but I biked to work each day this week and today I inaugurated my swimming for 2008.
Swim distance: 500 yards, mostly breaststroke, rest between each 100 for a minute or less.
I need to work up to 400 yards, constant, doing freestyle. At least this first race (in May) has the swim in a pool, so I don't have to worry about open water. So for now, I'm happy! Looking forward to seeing the old me again!
