Getting back on the horse

So, due to weather and general slackerliness, I basically haven't exercised since October. Yes, October. Also, I've eaten several feasts and spent far too much time boxed up in little tin cans that fly through the air at a few hundred miles an hour. This has all lead to the current state of affairs: I'm about 5 lbs above my usual and about 10 from where I'd like to be. That puts me hanging just under 150, which is where I close my eyes and stop weighing myself and then strap on my running shoes.

Today was a beautiful day, so I went back to the Couch-to-5k plan. Now, I'm certainly more comfortable with running than I have been in years past, so I went ahead and started in week 4 of the 9 week plan. It was a good level for me. It pushed me, but I could do it, and I felt no ill post-running effects. So, it's back on the wagon for me! First running, then biking when the weather gets a little more reliably better, then swimming too. It's hard enough getting up in winter with the darkness. I don't want to add to the trouble by feeling sluggish as well. Here we go!
